Michelin and the FIA went into partnership in 2011 to launch the international Golden Rules campaign as part of the FIA Action for Road Safety. This campaign illustrates the special relationship between driver and vehicle: a combination of pleasure and responsible behavior. It outlines the key safety rules that everyone should be aware of.
Whether you are the driver or a passenger, fasten your seat belt.
The rules on the highway are there to protect us and other road users. Make sure you follow them.
For your own safety and the safety of others, keep to the speed limit.
Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or any other substances.
Make sure children are in the appropriate child seats when you travel in your car.
Do not use your phone while driving.
Stop to rest if you are sleepy or tired.
Always wear a helmet when riding a two-wheel vehicle.
Consider other road users when you're driving.
Regularly check your tyres for wear and correct inflation, including the spare.
