Michelin is also passionate about the world arena of two-wheel racing. This began in 1891 when french rider Charles Terron triumphed with Michelin at the Paris-Brest-Paris championship, marking the beginning of Michelin's association with a long string of victories. Michelin now competes worldwide in the World Enduro Championship, Enduarance Racing Championship, Trial Outdoor, Indoor Trial World Championship and Motocross World Championship.
For two-wheel racing in Australia and New Zealand, Michelin competes in a number of super cross and off-road events, including: Australian Motocross Series, Australasian Supercross Championship, Australian Off-Road Racing Championship, Australian Off-Road Junior Racing Championship and Australian Trial Championship.
Michelin has been an active player in motorsports worldwide for over a century, making significant contributions to the development of motor racing through innovative tyre technologies. Some major world motorsport events that Michelin is currently getting results in are Le Mans 24 Hours Series, A1 Grand Prix Championship and World Solar Challenge.
