MICHELIN Latitude Sport is fitted as original equipment on the new Porsche Cayenne.

Chosen for many other high performance SUVs
It has already been homologated on SUVs such as Audi Q7, new Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg, and the ZP version of the new BMW X5.

Pure Performance
Tyre construction built to withstand 2.5 tonnes of vertical acceleration from 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds, on track speeds of up to 300 km/h.

Unleash SUV Sports performance
Using motorsport technology, MICHELIN Latitude Sport has the same tread pattern and compound of MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS. It delivers ultimate on-road performance and handling, while adapting to SUV requirements; a larger, heavier tyre with a higher load carrying capacity.

The challenge in manufacturing the ultimate sports SUV tyre was to maintain the maximum contact patch area between the tyre and the road while counteracting deformation. Michelin answered the challenge with the following solution:

Full width 0° BAZ cap ply
Extending into the shoulder, the 0° belt counteracts deformation resulting from higher speeds and loads.

Varied spacing 0° BAZ cap ply
Maximising the rubber in contact with the road, varied spacing distributes tread pressure evenly.
