About to buy my 5th set of these! Excellent and assured grip in the wet, they cope well with rougher terrain on some of my local routes, and whilst not puncture proof they are better than may others and have decent rolling resistance for year round use.

Favourite tire, year round

Very durable bit sidewall is weak. It easily get gash, tears and threads are showing. Looks old. Expensive and money not worth. My Lithion 2 wears longer.

Sidewall defect

Sadly despite a friend saying that he has had no issues with his Pro4 Endurance I encountered issues after only less than 400 miles. I had a puncture out on a ride and then had 4 inner tubes blow before I finally located the issue. Despite no outward appearance or foreign object I eventually found that the beading had separated from the sidewall of the tyre in several places. I opted to try these after my normal choice of Continental 5000 failed to match up to my 4000S in robustness but sadly this experience has not been a good alternative example and one I don't feel confident to repeat.

6 - 8 years experience running these tires with good results. The last couple of years (2019 and 2020 purchases) they have changed how the tread rubber (softer compound in the middle of the tire) is attached to the fabric casing and rest of the casing. I just had one pull apart enough to make a "bump" as it rotated and presented quite a noticeable de-lamination. Not the tire I would trust a long tour to anymore!

Used to be a good tire, last couple of years tread cracks

I have multiple pairs of these tires on multiple bikes, they have been fantastic in all conditions! These tires have lasted quite a bit longer than many other tires I have tried. The puncture resistance is among the best in the business for an affordable price. A great all around tire!
