Concerned
My rear Comander3 has 13,000 miles on it.Noticed a straight line on the center all the way around.
99' Harley-Davidson Softail Evo
Just purchased the Michelin Commander lll Rear Tire. Reviews look great. Paid the price for higher quality.
Great so far
I do not understand all the bad reviews. Just got the tires and rode 300 miles in the mountains of NC on my 2013 HD super glide and was riding 2 up. 8 hours round trip. speeds from 70 on the interstate to 1st and 2nd gear switch backs, no vibration or noise. had commander 2 on it before and the commander 3 handles great. I think hung the curves better will see how they last got 9k out commander 2 it replaced. Time will tell on miles they last.
Vibration commander 3
Replaced scorcher 31 with commander 3 cruiser on my dyna fxdc have had trouble with vibration through foot pegs and handle bars at some speeds had balance rechecked and checked wheel bearings with were all ok Tyres are almost brand new and now I have to look at changing them. To get rid of the vibration. Did not have this vibration with the scorcher 31
Horrible...DO NOT BUY!!!
How the heck are you still selling these useless tires. The vibration/hum is a know issue you still haven't corrected. I have one of these sitting in my garage with less than 1k. Support is also just as useless as the tires.
Front tire vibration
Rear tired lasted over 14,000 miles that's the good the bad the front tire had a vibration at 50 to 55 mph, I rebalanced it several times couldn't get rid of the vibration finally took it off after a couple thousand miles and put Commander 2 Tire on vibration completely gone it's too bad I had to waste all that money on the front tire that was garbage I have had a couple of sets of Commander 2 tires and they are very good it's too bad that Michelin really dropped the ball on the commander 3 I purchased these tires a couple of years ago before anybody knew about all the problems that they have with these front tires so nobody wanted to know nothing at that time kept telling me that maybe I didn't balance it right so I took the tire off and put a Commander 2 on
Horrible tires!
I purchased these tires after having a Michelin Commander 2 separate on me this time last year. My HD dealer said it looked like I hit something so I was not concerned with going to the Commander 3 even though I was pretty sure I had not hit anything. From the very beginning the tires made a hum and vibrated on different surfaces. I had the dealer look at the bike/tires to find the issue but they did not find the cause. The issue continued so I had another dealer look at it and they could not find the cause. After one year and 6000 miles a dealer said it felt like the tire was prematurely cupping. In the process of telling another guy there I needed another set of tires and anything but Michelin he tells me he loves his and there was a bad batch that made this noise and had a vibration! Sure enough on HD forums this apparently happened to a lot of owners! Why didn’t Michelin do more to get this issue out there and resolved?

Excellent grip
I have road through miles of blinding, torrential downpours and not once did I feel any slide or loss of traction. I ran 2's for a few years and decided to try these. Highly recommended.
Hi Eby, thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback.

Vibration
Front tire has a high frequency vibration between 55 and 65 mph. Only vibrates riding straight up as soon as you lean left or right it’s smooth. Below 55 mph and above 65 mph no vibrations.
Hi Lee Thank you for your review of 06-30-2022. We are sorry you are experiencing issues with your MICHELIN Commander III tires. Vibration can have several causes, such as incorrect mounting, incorrect balancing, worn motorcycle components, etc. Please bring your bike in to a local dealer for inspection or contact Michelin Consumer Care at 800-346-4098.

Serious designflaw
As a Michelin fanboy, i thought i was buying quality tire. Good grip , thats the positive. Humming and buzzing makes ridning a pain. Really dissapointed, Michelin knows about this problem but still ships this peace of s***tire.
