Amazing Tyre
As a riding instructor, my bikes & tyres are subjected to much harder treatment than most. I Always choose Michelin. The grip & tyre life are amazing, & they cost no more. My MT07 gets around 24Kkms from the front, & around 30Kkms from the rear. When I moved to Michelin Pilot Activ on the little Scorpio, the braking feel & control was simply next level. Now the front tyre is actually better than the front brake. No more front end lock ups. To me, fantastic value for money, but also brilliant grip & feel !
Great Tires but Short Tread Life
I only got 5000 miles out of Road 5's. So I switched back to Pilot Road 2's which are cheaper and last longer as I ride 12000 miles a year. I get 7000 miles from Pilot Road 2's and 4's. I had one front and two rear Road 5's. Both my rear Road 5's had a puncture and flat when almost new.
Great tyre
I have a 96 Yamaha Diversion and I have been fitting the pilot roads since the pilot road 2 came out. They are a great tyre and have just gotten better with every new series. Running PR4's and PR5's at the moment as they do not make them in a 120 and 150 in the same series. But with a stock shortage, will be trying the Road classics for the back this time.
decent tire
Im in florida just got through rain season the tires hold up very well in the rain great grip. the problem im having is the front tire is cracking really bad inside the treads and i only have 3500 miles on them ive been daily driving motorcycles for over 5 years now and ive never had a tire do that and the michelin rep will not do anything about it.
Hi Rolseth, Cracks in the tread can have different causes depending on their location on the tire. If found on the crown, it might be due to product aging or exposure to ozone or UV. If on the sidewall, it might be due to overheating due to the carcass working too hard (used when underinflated), aging or exposure to ozone/ prolonged exposure to light. If found on the crown and splits are deep and reach the plies or carcass, we would advise you to replace the product. If found on the sidewall, please make sure you check your tire pressure every two weeks (especially now it's getting colder), check your DOT to verify age and store your bike away from sunlight.

PR5 On Triumph Sprint ST 1050 I'll be buying again
Hi all, I've had 4 sets of Pilot Roads on my Triumph Sprint ST1050 and about to buy my 3rd set of PR5's. Grip and stability is fantastic in both wet and dry conditions on the New Zealand roads. Durability is great too last 2 sets of PR5's lasting 16000kms and I'm very happy with that. If you haven't tried them and are looking for some great all rounders give them a go.
Best tyres ever!!
I have never ridden such a great set of tyres in 30 years! Just love the feel - nimble, precise, and lasting too! Michelin is my go to brand!
Hi Loup, thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback! Please check your mailbox the next few weeks.

Road 5 Tyres
Ive used the tyres on my z1000sx for the past two years, riding with a pillion, they have done roughly 5000 miles with I'm estimating another 2000 on the back tyre left, the front has way more life left. I can now feel the back tyre starting to squirm a little in the cold damp weather but considering the Bridgestone's that came with the bike lasted 4000 miles then the Road 5s are a much better all round tyre, in both damp conditions as well as hot weather. I would recommend these tyres without question
Dear customer, Thank you for taking the time to review your tyre at michelin.co.uk. We're pleased to hear that you are happy with your tyre and hope that you will consider Michelin again in the future. All the best, The Michelin Team

Good for all weather
Just fitted brand new before going to the Nordkapp in Norway and after riding 8k kilometers on my Super Duke GT I'm coming home happy and will fit new ones again. On my bike lasted as mentioned above only 8000km. But survived torrential summer rain, 8 degrees wet roads and 35 degrees sunny days without a problem.
Road 5 on my Hayabusa
Got these fitted from new and don't regret it at all. Only issue is during "Spirited cornering" can and has spun a few time so warm them up alot first. Wet they are brilliant as well as dry. 4 out of 5 my assessment.
