Not so
I’ve only done less than 2000ks and I’m going to look for different tyres that are good for the wet and not by salesman who says they are good in the wet 😢 I have had two incidents where I’ve losed traction in the wet and I’ll not have a third
Best all round tyre - dont be put off
Noisy on road but you wear ear plugs obviously - tearing up motorways and fast A roads no problem - big lean angles and hard corner exits ditto - late braking and poor roads surfaces is a breeze - impossible a few years ago - mud and wet grass - no no no - gravel and hard tracks ok - there's no suck thing as a do it all tyre - these do very well and embarrass full roads - cope with the gravelly stuff and a great choice for big cc adventure bikes
As a road tyre not great
If you ride mainly on the road forget this tyre. There is a lot of vibration and poor grip in the dry. Fit a pilot road instead.
Good grip but too noisy
Had them for about 1000km on my Africa twin. Great grip and good on gravel but the noise is unbearable on highways to the point that it is dangerous in my opinion. Don't understand how a company like Michelin can release a road biased tyre that is so loud.
Too noisy
Great grip in all conditions but very, very loud on tarmac. I don’t know why the front tire make such a howl at speed. Very anoying for long rides on asphalt.
Another Michelin Success Story
Using these for over a year..good all round tyres. Confident in the gravel , great on the tar wet or dry. Value for money is good and wear so far is exceptional. With 45 yrs of riding experience throughout a lot of riding disciplines Michelin never disappoints.

Replaced my Anakee 2 tyres that were on the bike with the Anakee Adventures after reading good reviews online. Was a lot noisier, but got used to that and it proved to be a great tyre. About to get another rear one, as getting close to the wear indicator. Was pleasantly surprised, when I saw that I'd done 20,000km with the set. Front still fine, so will add a few more km. Great value (riding 90% road and the occasional easy gravel/dirt road.)
Anakee adventure tire
These are stupendous in the wet, corner beautifully, handle dirt roads great and seem to wear very evenly. I’m on a Triumph Tiger Explorer, 2013. One star off because at highway speeds they howl a bit. If you do a lot of high speed motorway riding the noise becomes a major issue. I don’t so not a problem. I might consider a more road focused dual sport tire in future.
Great multipurpose tyre
On my enduro-style bike. Give great road grip in wet and dry and can handle light off-road surfaces as well. Getting another set for my street scrambler project!
Tested in cold and wet on my way to Nordkapp
Handles perfect when raining all day. Gravel is good. But also experience is important. For mud and dirt Anakee Wild Is much better formnew user. More grip and handle. But for twisty roads and 10’000 km road trips this is the perfect balance. Front tire little noisy at 90-120km. High pitch whine could be heard. But on all the other occasions it performs and handles well. Especially when rainy and cold.
