Best tires ever

DonE - June 12, 2021

I have consistently averaged over 11,000 miles on my set of Michelins. Grip, stability, and longevity are the best of any brand of tires I have tried.

Short life and UnEVen WeAR

oldjoe - June 9, 2021

Great tire while it lasted, but seriously... Barely 5,000 miles, and wear bars are still good on half the tire, but worn on other parts. this was 3rd rear tire since I've owned this bike, and previous Michelin's got 8K or better...but center of tread is near cord. Yes, I live in Kansas, roads are straight...but I get to Arkansas and ride curves...still should not wear out this fast on ST1300 solo rider (150 lbs) who is OCD about tire pressure.

Hi Oldjoe, Long straight loads may indeed lead to faster wear on the center of the tire. Also, be aware that our rubber compounds of the MICHELIN® Road 5 GT tire deliver extraordinary wet grip, nimble handling and a comfortable ride. For best overall performance and durability results, Michelin always recommends using the air pressure recommended by the motorcycle manufacturer for your specific year / make / model.

Sport Touring

Nice combination of performance and durability along with all around stability. I chose this tire also for it's characteristics on a heavier performance machine ('10 VFR1200).
